Wednesday Program Policies
First Baptist Church, Kingsville
We are glad that your student (grades 1-12) will be participating in our Wednesday Programs (TEAMKID for grades 1-6 and reFOCUS for grades 7-12). It is our goal to provide a fun, safe, and secure environment where your student can learn about God. Accordingly, the following policies are in effect as of January 2009.
- All students (6th grade and under) must be accompanied by parent/guardian or responsible adult to the Wednesday Fellowship Meal.
- Van(s) will run beginning no earlier than 5:45 p.m. to provide transportation for those signed up for the Wednesday programs (not fellowship meal). At the conclusion of the programs all students must report to the designated meeting area. All students arriving on the van must also ride home on the van unless signed out by a parent/guardian. Students who do not ride on the van to the program but wish to ride home on the van must make arrangements by 4:00 p.m., Wednesday. All students riding the van must wear seatbelts. The Van Driver(s) and sponsors are in charge of the van and all directions must be followed. Failure to follow directions will result in a loss of van riding privileges.
- Students (grades 1-6) should arrive for their program no earlier than 6:15 p.m. Upon arrival at the church campus, all students must report immediately to the area designated for their program. If students are found outside of their program area or if they leave their program area without permission; their parent/guardian will be contacted to pick them up. In the event a student is sent home, they will not be able to return until they meet with a Program Leader and/or Pastor.
- Students will be expected to participate in the programs, comply with program guidelines, and follow the directions of the program leaders. In the event students choose not to cooperate, consequences could include timeout, contacting parents to pick up child, taking the student home, or expulsion from the program. In the event parents are called to pick up a child or the child is taken home, the parent/guardian will have to meet with the Program Leader and/or Pastor before the student can return or participate in any other church sponsored programs.
- Students should not come to the program if they are sick. This includes running a fever above 100, vomiting, diarrhea, etc. In the event it is determined a child is sick or they become sick during the program the parent/guardian will be contacted to pick them up.
- All students must have accurate contact information for a parent/guardian and an emergency contact as well. It is the parent/guardian’s responsibility to update that information by contacting the Program Leader or the church office.
