What to expect

When we go to any new place we may wonder, "What's going to happen when I get there?" At First Baptist we want to make it easy for you to come to our services. Here are some common questions that many people have...

How do I get there?
First Baptist Church is located at 312 W. King St. in the heart of Kingsville. Click here for a map and directions.

What should I wear?
At a typical service you will see people dressed in anything from suits to shorts. We want you to dress in the way you feel comfortable.

What about my kids?
Your children are always welcome and we have a number of activities to meet their needs. During the worship services at 10:45 and 6:30 on Sundays quality childcare is available for children through age 4. During our Morning Worship service the Pastor regularly does a Children's message in which he invites all of the children to join him and they receive a special treat.

What should I expect in the service?
     Music- The music is lead by our Praise Team and Choir and features a "blended" selection of traditional hymns and contemporary praise and worship music.
     Message- Each week our Pastor brings a message based on the Bible and how it applies to each of our daily lives.
     Time of Commitment- After the message the Pastor invites people to consider taking the "next step" by making a commitment to God.  During this time you may come and share your commitment with one of our Pastors, or through use of a Communication Card found in the bulletin.
     Offering- During the offering our members and regular attenders give out of gratitude to God and to support the ministries of the church. Guests are not expected to participate. All giving is confidential.

What are Growth Groups?

Growth Groups are designed to help you grow deeper in your relationship with God and also provide an opportnity to grow in your relationship with others. Groups are offered by semesters in the fall, summer, and spring.

What happens on Wednesdays?
Each Wednesday we have a Fellowship Meal from 5:30 pm-6:15 pm as well as activities for the entire family. To find out more check our current service schedule.
